Inherent Vice

I dreamed last night I watched a film of Gravity's Rainbow. There is no such film. Anyway, I've never gotten into Pynchon, but he's crapped out another book come August called Inherent Vice. I find myself strangely curious.

[Edit: Prüfstand VII is a German film apparently inspired by Gravity's Rainbow, but it sounds kind of impossiblish to find and I assume Pynchon didn't authorize it or anything.]

well, what do you think of pynchon? I don't like reading his books but I don't think I have a good reason for it. In theory I like that really dense, prosodic, poetic style but, I find it impossible to keep up with a narrative told in that style. I opened up "Gravity's Rainbow" at a bookstore the other day and read a random passage and was like, "this is really melodic, but I will never read this book". Anyway, even if you respond I will never know, because blogger doesn't e-mail me when people respond to my comments, which is why everyone should use livejournal. also I think this comment is now longer than your whole post.
